Spelling City
Price: Free
How I used it: We have been using the web version of Spelling City since the beginning of the school year. Once we obtained the iPads in my classroom, this app was added to each iPad. For the most part, everything available on the web version is available on the iPad version. I have a free account (premium memberships available). With having a free account, I sign in with my account on each iPad. This syncs spelling lists I have created on the web to the iPad. Now instead of students needing to access the web version, they can use the iPads to practice their weekly spelling lists.
My students have been using this app during our center rotations. If they have time have time available after completing their assignments with the Educreations app (see how we use this app here), they may practice their spelling words on the Spelling City app.

Futaba Classroom Games
Price: $4.99
How I used it: Using the Everyday Math curriculum, we regularly play math games to practice/reinforce math skills. However, the materials we use wear out from use year after year. Futaba Classroom Games serves as a digital tool for practice/reinforcing the skills learned in our math curriculum. Up to 4 students can play at one time on a single iPad. You can create and build your own games. There are also many pre-made games within the app. When creating your own games, you can add image or text based questions. In addition you can add audio to your questions. For more information as well as a short video explaining the app, check out the post on my blog.
